children are currently enrolled in the program, with 90% coming from low-income families or qualifying under other recognized Head Start criteria. For over 40 years, the Big Sandy area has benefited from the Head Start program, providing children with a strong early childhood foundation and preparing them for success through 63 center-based classrooms each year.
